  16.    I have a problem with dvips 5.58f. It seem that if the TeX file 
  17. contains a global \magnification then dvips applies this magnification
  18. to the inserted postscripts too (that's IMHO a Bad Thing). You can try
  19. with the following file:

  21. \magnification=\magstep4
  22. \input psfig
  23. \null
  24. \psfig{figure=angel.eps}
  25. \bye

  27. where angel.eps is a bitmap (in my case the university logo). If you
  28. see it with xdvi with ps capability the logo have his natural size,
  29. and the same things happen if you covert it to ps with dvips 5.511,
  30. but if you use dvips 5.58f the angel will show up 4 time bigger...
